The major streets to be wandered today in the world of consumer behavior includes:-
] Complex Buying Behavior:- When the consumer isn't really sure about what should be his\her next purchase, they are highly involved in the purchase decision and conduct extensive research before buying the goods or services, gather information, and evaluate alternatives. This usually happens when the consumer is trying to make a new sort of purchase and isn't already familiar with the market space.
] Dissonance-Reducing Buying Behavior:- Here, consumer involvement is very high with limited decision making due to lack of alternatives and limited time frame. These decisions are usually quick and a lot riskier.
] Habitual Buying Behavior:- Consumers make purchases with minimal decision-making and marketing efforts or information search. It is based on prior experience or trust in a particular brand. It includes products for their daily routine, they do not put a lot of thought. They either buy their favorite brand or the one that they use regularly.
] Variety-Seeking Buying Behavior:- Customers are not deeply involved in the purchase decisions but seek variety or uniqueness in their purchases. The cost of switching products is low, and hence consumers might want to try out new products just out of curiosity or boredom and not due to the dissatisfaction by the prior product. Brand switching occurs often and without intention.
